CSS Based HTML Websites
If you just need an informational website with just a few pages and your don’t plan on updating your site often, then you may be able to just get a basic CSS based HTML site. This site has no additional frills and requires knowledge of HTML and FTP to update. CSS, or cascading style sheets is the industry standard and basically refers to the structure in which the site is built. There will be minimal use of server side programming. To save on costs we can use an existing "template" that will be remastered to fit your company image. This type of site can be completed in as little as a few days if all of the content is provided and will cost about $250.

WordPress is the best platform to introduce yourself to the world of commanding your own website. I have tested out many different content management systems out there and none compare to the simplicity of WordPress. Content Management Systems like Joomla and others basically require an intimate understanding of their system which makes it hard to learn, train others, or build upon.
WordPress is a blogging system by nature, but recently it has become the Content Management System of the current age. With its most recent major release, WordPress completely overhauled the interface making WordPress the easiest Content Management System I know of. Best of all, the system is open source with a community of developers around the world working to make it better and more functional, and on top of everything the license is absolutely free making it more affordable for you.
If you plan on using a WordPress based site, you will be trained in how to use WordPress to manage your site. Keep in mind that you will need to have some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP is you want to be able to edit the "template," but you will have access to update the content just like you would within a Word Processor. This type of site takes a couple of weeks to complete and includes a remastered theme. Pricing varies on this type of site but the base package will run around $750.
Advanced Sites with Joomla
Joomla recently had updates to its system to make it search engine friendly and a bit easier to use. Since Joomla has been around longer as a content management system, the open source community is bigger than that of WordPress. With Joomla you can still do blogging but you can do more than you can with the current state of WordPress. While WordPress systems like Multi-user and BuddyPress are still in developmental stages, the Joomla community has components that surpass these functions.
If you are considering a social network platform, membership site, affiliate program, or any type of advanced functionality that isn’t ready with WordPress yet, then a Joomla Advanced site is what you need.
